Day 3: Interstate Tour 2018
The 10th Annual Southwestern Wisconsin Dulcimer Festival kicked off bright and early on Saturday morning with me, Stephen Seifert and Rick Thum all teaching workshops at the Voight Music Center in downtown Janesville.
Teaching is something that I fell into by nature of being a performer in the mountain dulcimer community and it's an ongoing process of stuffing myself with knowledge in an effort to a) be better and b) teach better.
Though I run into Stephen and Rick quite a bit while on tour, we rarely get the chance to enjoy sharing some music together like we do at this festival. After sharing some stage time together during the afternoon concert, we took a little journey to Fort Atkinson and performed at Cafe Carpe.
Their jambalaya is off the charts!
