Day 65: Interstate Tour 2018
The Great Smokey Mountain Alpine Coaster in Pigeon Forge, TN. Can you spot Imua in this picture?
This’ll be a quick entry because not a whole lot happened today besides driving five hours from Germantown, Ohio to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where I rode the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster again and got some Mavic footage. The virtual ride will show up on Coaster-2-Coaster via Patreon soon.
I was lucky enough to have no-one in front of me riding their brakes, so I flew down the entire circuit at top speed - always a thrill!
Afterwards, it was a different sort of rollercoaster, Wears Valley Road, that took me to Townsend, the home of Wood ‘n’ Strings Dulcimer Shop.
I’ll write more tomorrow - but right now, it’s power-down to power-up! I’ve got to print out resource material for the four workshops I’m teaching and get a good night’s sleep in order to rise early, get in a bike ride, fly the Mavic some more (I didn’t have a drone the last time I was here) and prepare for another fun day.
