Day 55: Interstate Tour 2018
Michael of Marshall RV, installing my new wireless backup camera.
7:30 am, I was at Marshall RV.
Sweet!
It didn't take long for Michael to install the Zeroxclub Digital Wireless Backup Camera that I got from Amazon for $199.99. We talked about Florida vs. Michigan winters as he drilled holes for the mounting bracket and ran a wire to one of my running lights for power. I mounted the monitor on the dashboard and everything fired right up.
The guys at Marshall RV are great and this is the second time that they've hooked me up. If I need anything done during the summer after Evart, this is the place that I'll go.
So, this is my first backup camera, though I've driven vehicles with them before, it's a luxury that I'm not used to. And, I gotta say, it's already making my life a whole lot easier. I've got it set so that it's on all the time and this makes lane-changing much easier. Though I'll continue to use my mirrors for reference, having this "third eye" on the dashboard removes all doubt about what's going on at the rear of the coach. I seriously don't know why it took me so long to purchase one and have it installed!
Selfie-break in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana on the Rivergreenway Trail.
I was on the road by 9:30 am and drove down to Fort Wayne, Indiana, did some banking and shipping of orders, rode 16 miles on the Rivergreenway path and celebrated National Tequila Day at Cibolla's.
It was nice to decompress today while on the bike ride, though it wasn't exactly the most relaxing thing I could've done. But, with a ton of stuff to do, it was a nice break from thinking about anything except for rolling down the path. Thankfully, I've got a lot of downtime this week and, somewhere in the middle of it all, I'll find time to do a whole lotta nothing. Preferably by a body of water.
