Day 19: Interstate Tour 2018

There, that’s better.  Kinda.

There, that’s better.  Kinda.

Today was largely a production day, and I won’t bore you with the details, but it involved getting Mailbag Monday edited and uploaded, a promo for Dulcimerica cut and uploaded plus work on episode 395.  Then, it was time to play “Does It Fit?” as I began seeking out a place to do an oil change.  Many places don’t have a bay big enough for Imua while some have more than enough space and most have just enough space to squeeze in with the mirrors tucked.  Today’s edition rendered a big “nope”, so I went to Camping World, got some awning tape and then went to meet my longtime friends Rose and Blake Brouse for our traditional passing-through-Ohio dinner at Casa del Rio. I’ve known these two forever and we’ve had many fabulous times over the years.  A trip through Ohio is never complete without stopping by and seeing them a couple of times.

All the while, I’ve got some folks who are working behind the scenes on The Dulcimerica Project, trying to sort out over ten years of HTML coding and their reports back have got me sifting through data and transferring files.  Sometimes, the personal hotspot on my iPhone is enough of a pipeline for everything I’m doing, but in some areas it’s like pulling teeth trying to get a good ping.  The rest of the day was spent trying to work with speeds that were 75% slower than normal and plotting out my next few moves until the Indiana Fiddlers Gathering this weekend.  That would kick-off a non-stop series of events that will lead through Kentucky Music Week and end with my June 30th show at The Garryowen Irish Pub in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  A state park with a bike trail is sounding mighty-mighty good to me.
